Seems I've fallen out of order once again, my productive habits still seem to be a work in progress.. No matter, Sunday shall be drawing day. Starting at 9 (PST?) I'm going to be heading on over to the MLPDrawingSchools livestream, hoping to get some practice in on there and maybe finish a thing or two in uploadable quality!
I apologise for my seemingly unexplanable absense to all my followers. I have drawings but they're not in the darkened or coloured format I like to upload them in. They were the product of, lets say, 20 minute practice sketches. Sure, they're good practice, but it feels inappropriate to add such unfinished work to my gal

We miss you!
I miss you guys too!
It's been rough over here, school's sucking me dry both time-wise and emotional-wise. Assignments left and right, two projects due at the end of the year, and lab work assigned daily. I barely have time to keep up with the occasional anime I've been trying to follow, let alone try to keep up with a community..
But once this is all over, I will be back, and that is a promise. The more time I spend programming, the more time I realize I miss using the non-technical side of my brain. I miss being truly expressive, I miss not having to worry about that semi-colon I may have missed or how many pixels wide the radius of the circle has to be.
As soon as I take out my pen and begin to write notes in Data Communications or Algorithms, scenes flow across the paper and the lessons all come back: Swoosh, take a step back, make sure there's enough contrast, always use references, poof the hair, don't bend the legs the wrong way, make sure you're using the correct proportions, don't forget the cutie mark, make sure all the hair's flowing the same way, hair lines, shadows, style, colour pallets, and etc.
But I still had a long ways to go in terms of practice, I was still young into my learning. One day I will return, and that's a promise.

You should totally hop on the irc. its a great place to just idle along and a fair number of people are actually programmers.
I know those feeling you are having too, gotta occasionally indulge both sides of your brain and just let the art happen. Be it a doddle on a piece of paper or a full out drawing.
